Welcome back to another episode of the Real Yoga for Kids Show!
Last week I talked to you about 3 of the magic ways that great children’s yoga is able to balance energy levels – to leave pretty much all kids feeling calm and relaxed by the end (when taught right!).
Learning to breathe properly and practise specific breathing exercises, are a big part of what makes yoga so holistically beneficial.
Isn’t it amazing that so many people go through life, not breathing fully!
We can teach kids early on how to breathe for optimal physical and emotional wellbeing.
Yoga teaches us how to be more present and mindful.
It does this in the way that we…
… focus our mind and attention on moving our body,
… concentrate on a balance,
… turn our senses inward for once!
In today’s episode, I share 3 ways that children can use techniques they learn in yoga, as tools to help self regulate and feel calm.
It’s Summer time and this month and next I know there are lots of sports days happening and extra time for athletics and games outside! Whilst kids don’t need to warm up and cool down in the same way that adults do (they’re just so springy!), it’s still a great idea to get them into good habits.
