Yoga for Exams – standing and seated yoga for the classroom, or home
Following on from last week’s video, here’s another class for you to follow around exam time – to help stretch out worries and breathe in confidence!
This class only requires a small amount of space, so it’s ideal for the classroom or your living room! We’ll be doing a few poses standing that get the blood flowing and loosen tight shoulders, then we’ll sit to stretch some more and focus on calming, confidence building breaths.
If it’s a test week, or coming up to that time, be sure to give this class a go – and check out the last few weeks of videos too.
To reiterate some of the reasons that yoga helps at this time:
Physically releasing tension stored in muscles by stretching, also releases emotional tension too. This not only leaves us with an overall sense of wellbeing, peace and calm, but helps us to get a better night’s sleep.
The focus on the postures and the breath give our minds a break from the worrying and anxiety inducing thoughts that can flood the mind around exam time. They also helps us to feel fit and strong in our bodies – boosting confidence and self-esteem.
I’d love to hear from you, so either share your experience of the class in the comments below, or pop over to Facebook or Instagram and write to us there 🙂
Thanks, as always, for being here. Up next week is another guided meditation.
